Founded 2022, Creative Expressions Dance Academy was created to allow dancers the opportunity to express themselves through movement. We aim to inspire others in all that we do in and outside of the studio.
Owner/Instructor
Ms. Sommore D. Terry
Sommore is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A. Degree in Biology and a Minor in Dance. She has been dancing for over 15 years and has won numerous awards for her performances in North and South Carolina. She has competed on the local, state, and regional level since the age of eight. She received her intensive training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop from Antonya Windham at Elite Dance Academy and Laurinburg School of Dance Arts. Currently, Sommore is a judge and crew member for the Boogie Fever USA Dance Championships. She is also a 4th grade Math teacher at Sycamore Lane Elementary School. She is also a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Elementary Education.
